Step 1: Absorb the Stain

Soak up as much of the stain as possible. Use paper towels or a dry cloth to dab at area, making sure to press down firmly and blot in an outward direction. Do not rub the area as this can cause the stain to spread. Absorb as much of the stain as possible before moving on to next step.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Area

Mix one part white vinegar to one part warm water in a bowl, stirring until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Soak a cloth in the mixture and use it to pre-treat the stained area. Let solution sit for 10 minutes then use a clean cloth dampened with cold water to rinse away the solution.

Step 3: Wash the Item

Fill a sink or bucket with cold water and add two tablespoons of a mild laundry detergent. Gently mix the detergent and water together. Submerge the item into water and allow it to soak for 20-30 minutes. Once finished, use a clean cloth soaked in cold water to rinse item. Allow the item to air dry.
