What You'll Need

  • A small bowl
  • A soft brush
  • 1 teaspoon liquid dishwashing detergent
  • 1 tablespoon ammonia solution
  • Clean cloths
  • White vinegar

Step 1: Mix the Cleaning Solution

Take the small bowl and mix together one teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of ammonia. Set the mixture aside for later.

Step 2: Use Brush to Remove Pet Stain

Take the soft brush and use it to gently rub pet stain. Remember to be gentle - you don't want to damage the fabric. Work the solution into the stain until the stain starts to lighten.

Step 3: Apply the Cleaning Solution

Once you've worked the stain with the brush, take bowl of cleaning solution and pour it onto the stain. Let it sit for five to ten minutes before using a clean cloth to blot area. Do this until the stain has been absorbed by the cloth.

Step 4: Rinse Area With White Vinegar

After stain has been blotted out, take a cup of white vinegar and pour it over the area. Once again, use a clean cloth to absorb the excess. Then, simply take another damp cloth and wipe the entire area to remove any leftover residue.

Step 5: Hang Your Item to Dry

Once all the cleaning solution has been removed, hang your item up to dry. Depending on the size of item, this process could take anywhere from an hour to overnight. Once dry, you can enjoy your freshly cleaned item!
