Step 1: Blot stain away with a damp cloth. Begin by blotting away as much of the stain as you can using a cold damp cloth. Do not rub or scrub the stain, as this could damage the delicate lace.
Step 2: Prepare a cleaning solution. Mix a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid with 2 cups of cool water. To remove any tough stains, add a teaspoon of white vinegar to the solution.
Step 3: Apply the solution. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab it on the stained area. Make sure to work the solution into the lace. Let solution sit for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse the stained area. Using cold water, rinse the stained area until all traces of the solution are gone. Blot the area dry with a clean cloth.
Step 5: Repeat as necessary. If the stain persists after the first round of cleaning, repeat Steps 3 and 4. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
With the right steps, you can easily and effectively remove pet stains from your favorite Cornelli lace. These tips should help keep your lace looking beautiful for years to come.
