There is nothing worse than seeing pet messes tarnish your Converse. While it can be tempting to give up hope and throw the shoes away, don’t do it just yet! With the right supplies and some careful attention, you can restore your shoes to their original glory.

What You’ll Need:

  • Two cloths
  • Warm, soapy water
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Hydrogen peroxide

Instructions:

  1. Use one of the cloths to remove any solids from the area of the stain.
  2. Mix a solution of warm water and mild dishwashing soap, then use the second cloth to dip into the solution. Wring it out so that its slightly damp, then dab the area of the stain to remove as much of the excess moisture as possible.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix two parts white vinegar with one part baking soda until it forms a paste. Then, spread this paste over the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Use a damp cloth to wipe off the paste, then use a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture.
  5. If there are still traces of stain, mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water in a bowl. Soak the affected area with mixture, then dab it with a dry cloth.
  6. Finally, air the shoes out in a well-ventilated area and leave them to dry completely.

With these steps, you’ll be able to remove pet stains from your Converse once and for all!
