When you notice a pet stain on your business attire, the first reaction may be to try and wipe the stain away as soon as possible. However, doing this will only make matters worse as it will spread the stain further, making it more difficult to remove completely.
Using a paper towel, remove any excess debris from the stain by gently patting affected area. Do not rub the stain, as this may cause the stain to spread further.
Using a spray bottle, mix a solution of cold water and mild detergent and lightly spritz it onto the affected area. Allow the solution to soak into the fabric for several minutes before proceeding to the next step.
Using a spray bottle filled with white vinegar, lightly spritz the affected area. This substance helps to break down the proteins in pet stains.
Using a clean cloth, gently blot the area until all of the moisture has been absorbed. Do not rub the cloth, as this may cause the stain to spread further.
After all of the steps are completed, washing the clothing as normal will help to remove any remaining residue from stain. Air drying the clothing is recommended over using a dryer.
Cleaning pet stains from your business attire is not as daunting of a task as it may seem. Using the steps outlined above, you can quickly and effectively remove pet stains from your outfit and have it looking like new in no time.
