When it comes to fresh pet stains, it is important to act quickly. The first thing you'll want to do is absorb all of the moisture with a clean, absorbent cloth by dabbing the spot. Do not rub the area as this will create an even larger mess.
Once you have absorbed the moisture, apply a detergent solution to the area. If the stain is especially stubborn, use a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and water. Using the absorbent cloth, dab area with the detergent solution and then rinse it out with cool water until the stain is gone.
If the pet stain has already set in, it is important to use a slightly different method. To start, mix together warm water, detergent and white vinegar. Apply this mixture to the stained area and let it sit for about 15 minutes. The vinegar and water mixture should help to break down the stain.
Once mixture has had time to sit, take a scrub brush and gently scrub the area, making sure to not rub too hard. After scrubbing, rinse the area with cold water and then check to see if the stain is gone. If it is not, you may need to repeat process. That's it! With this simple method, you should be able to remove even the toughest pet stains.
