No one expects their pet to get creative and make a mess on their favorite outfit. However, accidents do happen, and the good news is that it’s not the end of world if your pet leaves a stain on your blazer. All you need to do is follow these steps:
- Stay calm. There’s no point in getting angry with your pet or yourself. Staying calm will help you stay focused and complete the task at hand.
- Blot the stain. Grab some paper towels and start blotting the stain gently. Make sure not to rub the stain harshly, as this can cause it to spread further.
- Soak blotter. Create a mixture of 2 parts water and 1 part detergent, then soak the paper towel that you used for blotting. Carefully press over affected area for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Apply a stain remover. Choose a stain remover product that’s designed to remove pet stains. Spray some onto the affected area and use a scrub brush to work the product into fabric. Be careful not to use too much force.
- Rinse and dry. Rinse the cleaner off until all soap residue is gone. When you’re done, set the fabric to air dry.
