Step 1: Gather Supplies Needed

Before you start, be sure you have the right supplies. You'll need the following items:

  • White Vinegar
  • Carpet Shampoo
  • Bucket
  • Sponge
  • Old Toothbrush
  • Towels
  • Warm Water

Step 2: Clean The Belt

Once you have all the materials needed, it's time to get started. Take your belt and dab the area with a towel or cloth to absorb any excess moisture. Do not rub; instead, gently press the cloth down on the stain.

Next, combine 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of carpet shampoo in a bucket or bowl. Fill the container with warm water and mix the ingredients together until the solution is foamy. Dip your sponge into the mixture and use it to clean the stained area of the belt. Rinse the sponge regularly and continue scrubbing.

If the stain persists, take an old toothbrush and rub it onto the belt in circular motions. Make sure to apply pressure while scrubbing, ensuring the bristles penetrate the fabric. Once done, rinse the belt with cold water.

Step 3: Remove The Remaining Stains

For stubborn stains, you may need to use a different technique. Mix a cup of warm water and one-quarter cup of white vinegar in a bowl. Dip your sponge into the mixture and gently scrub the stained area of the belt. Don't forget to rinse the sponge before dipping it back into the solution. Repeat this process until the remaining stains are gone.

Step 4: Dry The Belt

Once you've successfully removed the stains, take two dry towels and lay them flat on the floor. Place the belt between the two towels and let it sit for a few hours. This will allow belt to dry completely and also prevent any water marks from forming.

Step 5: Wear It!

Congratulations! Now that you know how to clean pet stains from belts, you can confidently wear your belt without worrying about any embarrassing odors. Just remember to always keep an eye on your pets so you can avoid any future stains.
