How to Easily Clean Pet Stains from Battenberg Lace
Pet stains on Battenberg lace can be a real headache to clean, but with the right materials and technique, the process doesn’t have to be nearly as daunting as it seems.

What You Need
- Clean, lint-free cloths
- Soft brush
- Distilled white vinegar
- Liquid laundry detergent (non-bleaching)
Instructions
- If the Battenberg lace is heavily stained, soak it in distilled white vinegar overnight. This will help to loosen the stain.
- Using cold water, gently rinse the fabric. Do not rub or twist it to avoid damage to the lace.
- Make a mixture of 1 teaspoon of non-bleaching liquid laundry detergent and 1 cup of cold water and soak the fabric in it for 15 minutes.
- Gently rinse off the detergent using cold water.
- Air dry the lace. For best results, place the fabric between two towel and press lightly to absorb the remaining moisture.
- Brush out any remaining stubborn stains with a soft brush.
Tips and Warnings
- Always use cold water when cleaning Battenberg lace, as warm water can cause the fabric to shrink.
- Do not put Battenberg lace in the washing machine, as it may tear or bleed colors.
