Bandanas can be beautiful accessories for pets or humans, but they often get tarnished with unsightly stains. This is especially true if you have pets who tend to paw around on them. With the right steps, however, it's easy to make your bandanas look as good as new.

The most important step in removing pet stains from bandanas is to scrape off any excess debris from the material. Using a spoon or a dull knife, flick away any solid material that sticks to the fabric. Be careful not to push too hard, as this could damage the material.
Once the solid material has been removed, you should pre-treat stain with a mild detergent or an enzyme cleaner specifically designed for pet stains. Work the solution into the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before washing.
After letting the pre-treatment soak in, it's time to wash the bandana. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. For more stubborn stains, you can use white vinegar or baking soda added to the wash cycle.
Once the bandana is clean, rinse it with cold water until all of the detergent has been removed. Afterward, lay the bandana flat to dry or put it in the dryer on a low heat setting. Do not use high heat, as this may cause shrinkage.
