Tools & Materials Needed

  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Cleaning brush or cloth
  • Gentle laundry detergent
  • Stain remover (optional)

Steps For Cleaning Pet Stains from Apron

  1. Start by vacuuming the apron. This will help to remove any loose dirt and debris that is on the surface.
  2. The next step is to pre-treat the stain with a gentle laundry detergent. Take a damp cloth or cleaning brush and gently scrub the stain with the detergent in order to loosen and break up stain.
  3. If the stain is still present after pre-treating, you may want to use a specialized stain remover. Apply this directly to stained area, making sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Once the stain has been treated, it is time to wash the apron as normal. Use your delicate cycle setting on your washing machine and add a scoop of gentle laundry detergent.
  5. Air dry or tumble dry the apron on a low heat setting. Do not put the apron in the dryer before you're sure the stain has been completely removed.

Additional Tips

  • Before using any type of cleaning product, make sure to read the label first in order to avoid damaging the fabric.
  • Treating the stain immediately will help to reduce chance of it becoming a permanent mark.
  • It may be helpful to use a black light or UV light to identify any pet stains that are invisible to the naked eye.
