The first step is to blot up as much of stain as possible using a dry cloth or paper towels. Be sure to blot from the outside of the stain in order to prevent it from spreading.
Once you’ve blotted away as much of stain as possible, you’ll want to treat the stain itself. Start by mixing equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a bowl. Using a clean cloth, dip it into the mixture and then gently dab it onto the stained area. Do not rub fabric together as this can cause the stain to spread.
After you’ve treated the stain, you’ll need to rinse the area with cold water to ensure all cleaning solution is removed. Once the area is rinsed, you can either use a hairdryer on a low setting to dry the area or allow it to air dry. Do not put the fabric in the washing machine as this can cause further damage.
