Begin by removing any excess sweat that may be on the wedges with a damp cloth. You don't want to saturate the fabric, but a lightly damp cloth should be sufficient to pull away any surface dirt or sweat residue.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water and stir until the solution is thoroughly mixed. This mixture will help to break down acidity of perspiration stains which is what causes them to be so sticky and hard to remove.
Soak wedges in the vinegar and water solution for 10 to 15 minutes. You can use a large bowl or a basin to hold the wedges as they soak. During this time, the vinegar will work to break down the acidity of perspiration stains.
Once the wedges have soaked for recommended time, rinse them in cold water until all of the vinegar has been removed. Allow the wedges to air dry completely before wearing them again. If necessary, you can also pat them dry with a clean towel.
If the perspiration stains are still visible after following the steps above, you may need to repeat the process. Keep in mind that it may take several attempts to completely remove the stubborn stains.
With just a few simple steps, you can easily remove perspiration stains from your wedges. By cleaning these stains regularly, you can help keep your wedges looking great for years to come.
