Perspiration stains on wallets are caused by natural oils that accumulate on the material and create a persistent stain. Trying to remove these stains can often be a daunting task if you don’t know exactly how to go about doing it correctly.

Let's Get Started:

  1. First, sprinkle a small amount of baking soda over the stained area. Leave it for a few minutes.
  2. Mix together one part water and one part white vinegar in a small bowl.
  3. Dip a clean cloth or rag into the mixture and squeeze it until it is only damp. Use this damp cloth to gently scrub the stained area. Scrub for a few minutes until the stain begins to lighten.
  4. Once the stain has been removed, use a dry cloth to dry away any remaining moisture.
  5. Finish off by spraying the area with some leather conditioner to make sure wallet doesn’t dry out too much.

Tips:

  • Be sure to test the vinegar mixture on a small area of wallet first to make sure that there is no discoloration or damage.
  • If the stain persists, try using a bit of rubbing alcohol with a cotton pad, and scrub gently.
  • Always use a soft cloth when cleaning your wallet to avoid causing scratches.
