Before you put your underwear in the wash, it's important to pre-treat the stained area with laundry detergent. This will help break down staining agent making it easier to remove. Mix a tablespoon or two of detergent with some warm water and apply it to the stained area using a cloth. Rub fabric gently until the stain is gone.
After pre-treating the stained areas, you can now wash the underwear in hot water with a cup of white vinegar. The vinegar will help to break down the stains even more and leave your underwear looking like new. In addition, a bit of white vinegar can also help to keep color of your underwear from fading.
Once your underwear has finished washing, you'll want to hang it up to dry. Don't put them in the dryer as this could set stains into the fabric and make them harder to remove. Instead, try hanging them outside and letting the sun do its work.
If the stains are still visible after going through the steps above, you may need to repeat process. Pre-treat the area with detergent again and then put them back in the wash. You may need to do this a few times before the stains are completely removed.
