Check the fabric care tag before you begin cleaning tracksuit. Most tracksuits are made of synthetic materials and should be washed in cool or warm water and dried on a low-temperature setting. However, if the care label says to dry clean only, take the suit to a reputable dry cleaner.
The supplies needed to clean perspiration stains from a tracksuit include a laundry detergent, a towel, and an enzyme product such as BioKleen Bac-Out Stain and Odor Remover or OxiClean Stain Remover.
Start by soaking the stained area in a cold water solution of laundry detergent and one tablespoon of enzyme product for several hours. Then, remove the tracksuit from the solution and rinse it out thoroughly in cold water. Blot the affected area with a damp towel and place it on a flat surface with the stain facing up.
Next, spray the stained area with a solution of one part enzyme product and four parts water. Let solution sit for 15-30 minutes before scrubbing it into tracksuit and then rinsing it out with cool water. Finally, hang the tracksuit to dry. Repeat this process if necessary to completely remove the perspiration stains.
