Perspiration stains are a common problem when it comes to underwear. Fortunately, there are several simple steps you can take to help remove these stubborn marks. Whether you need to clean your own thong or someone else’s, here’s what you should do.

Step 1: Prepare the Stain for Cleaning

Before you start, make sure the stain is ready for cleaning. To do this, scrape off any dried sweat from fabric. This should be done with a dull knife or spoon, taking care not to damage the material.

Step 2: Soak Thong

Once the stain has been scraped away, place thong in a bowl of warm water mixed with a tablespoon of non-bleach detergent. Let thong soak for 15 minutes so the detergent can work its magic.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

After soaking, rinse the thong thoroughly under warm water and hang it up to dry. Avoid using an electric dryer as this can cause the stain to become set in firmly.

Step 4: Spot Treat with Stain Remover

For a particularly stubborn stain, mix a paste of baking soda and water and use it to spot treat the area. Let baking soda mixture sit on stain for 20 minutes before rinsing it off.

Step 5: Apply Fabric Softener Sheets

Finally, if your thong is still not completely free of the stain, try rubbing a fabric softener sheet over the area. This may help to lift the remaining particles.

By following these five steps, you can easily remove perspiration stains from your thong and keep it looking good as new.
