Create a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Submerge the stained area of the sweatshirt into the mixture and let it soak for about an hour.
Make a paste of baking soda and water and rub it onto the perspiration stain. Leave it on for a couple of minutes before rinsing off the paste with cold water.
Follow the directions on the stain remover and spray the affected area. Allow it to sit for several minutes before washing (with similar colors).
Wash the sweatshirt in your washing machine on the gentlest cycle, using warm water. Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of baking soda to the cycle to help remove any lingering stains and odors.
Let the sweatshirt hang dry instead of placing it in the dryer. If any stains still remain, repeat steps 1–4.
