  • Large bowl
  • White vinegar
  • Hairdryer

How to Clean Perspiration Stains from Silk Organza

Step 1: Fill a large bowl with cool water and add a dab of mild soap. Soak the stained area for a few minutes. Rub gently with your fingers to help the soap penetrate deeper into the fabric.

Step 2: Use a white cloth to dab stain with cool water. Do not scrub the stain as it may damage the fabric fibers.

Step 3: Make a cleaning solution by mixing one part white vinegar and two parts cool water. Dip stained area in the solution for a few minutes. Again, avoid scrubbing the fabric.

Step 4: Rinse the area in cool water and pat dry with a white cloth. Do not wring out fabric or squeeze the stained area.

Step 5: Use a hairdryer to blow warm air on the stained area. This will help fibers dry quickly and reduce the risk of the stain setting in.

Step 6: Hang the garment to dry completely. Once it is dry, it is ready to wear or store away.
