The most effective way to remove perspiration stains is to treat them immediately after they occur. Blot the stain with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove as much of the moisture as possible. Do not rub the perspiration into the fabric.
Combine one part white vinegar and two parts cold water in a small bowl. Dip a cloth or sponge into the solution and apply it generously to the stained area.
Allow the vinegar-water solution to sit on stain for several minutes. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.
Rinse away the vinegar-water solution from the shirt with cold water. You should see the perspiration stain start to fade away. If it is still visible, repeat Steps 2-4 until the stain is completely gone.
Once the perspiration stain is removed, it's time to wash shirt. Check the care instructions on the tag to ensure you are using correct water temperature and detergent. Air dry or machine dry as usual.
