Dampness and moisture from sweat seeping in fabric can lead to yellowing and unpleasant odors. Removing these stains may seem daunting but it doesn’t have to be. With a few simple steps, you can easily get rid of them from your robe.

Steps for Cleaning Perspiration Stains from Robes

  1. Start by soaking the stained areas of your robe in cold water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Apply this directly to the stain and allow it to sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Wash your robe in the washing machine on a cold cycle, using a mild detergent. Don’t add any fabric softener or bleach.
  4. If the stain still remains after the wash, repeat steps 1-3.
  5. Hang up your robe to dry – avoid using a dryer as the heat can cause further discoloration.
With these easy tips, your robe should be looking as good as new. It is important to note that some robes may require special care instructions so it is always best to read the label before attempting to clean it.
