Sweating is a natural and necessary physiological process, but a side effect of that process can leave mysterious stains on your clothes. While sweat stains aren't easily visible, yellow-tinged garments are a telltale sign that perspiration is to blame. Rayon, a light fabric often used for blouses and dress shirts, is particularly prone to staining from sweat. Here's how to get rid of those unsightly sweat marks from rayon.

Begin by making a mixture of liquid laundry detergent and warm water. Apply the solution directly to the sweat stain with a clean white cloth or sponge. Gently rub it into the fabric and allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes.
Rinse away the detergent mixture with cold water. Do not let the rayon fabric get too wet as this will cause further damage or shrinkage. Blot the area with a clean towel until most of the water has been absorbed.
After rinsing, create a second stain removal mixture using either white vinegar or lemon juice and warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and gently apply it to the sweat stain. Allow it to sit for up to 10 minutes.
Rinse the vinegar or lemon juice solution off with cold water. Blot area with a clean towel to absorb any remaining moisture.
Wash the garment in cold water and an appropriate liquid detergent. To prevent further staining, choose a mild detergent and hang the rayon fabric on a line to dry.
Sweat stains on rayon can be difficult to remove, but it's possible with a few simple steps. Follow the steps outlined above to pre-treat and remove persistent perspiration marks.
