Good news though – cleaning perspiration stains from purses isn't as difficult as it may seem. With a few simple steps, you can get rid of that stubborn stain in no time.
The first step in tackling a perspiration stain is to blot up as much of the excess moisture as possible. This can be done using a soft, absorbent cloth or paper towels. Avoid rubbing stain. You don't want to spread the stain or push it further into the fabric.
Mix three parts baking soda with one part white vinegar and mix it together until you get a thick paste. Apply paste to the perspiration stain and allow it to sit for 30 minutes. This will help to loosen and remove the stain.
After the paste has had some time to work, run some cool water over the stained area. This will help to rinse away any remaining residue. If there are still traces of the stain, repeat steps two and three.
Dip a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and gently dab it against stain. Don't rub too hard—you don't want to damage the fabric of your bag. Doing this should help to lift the stain from the fabric.
To get rid of the last traces of the stain, use a soft toothbrush to scrub the area. Be sure not to use too much pressure—you don't want to tear the fabric of your purse. After brushing, check the bag to make sure that all of the stain is gone.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully get rid of perspiration stains on your purse. Remember, it may take a few tries to completely remove the stain, but perseverance pays off!
