The first step in removing sweat stains from your poplin fabric items is to wash it as soon as you spot them. Try to use a few drops of mild detergent on the affected area. Make sure to check and follow the instructions as given on the fabric care label.

If the stains are still there, you can try using some household items like lemon juice, white vinegar, or baking soda. Start by mixing 2 cups of lemon juice and 1 cup of white vinegar and pour it into one quart of warm water and stir it. Then soak the garment in this mixture for about 30 minutes. After that, rinse it off in cold water, and dry the clothing in sun, or in a drying machine on low heat.

If the stains are still visible, then you should treat them with baking soda. Sprinkle some baking soda on the affected area and let it sit for a while. After that, rinse it off with cold water and dry it in the sun or in a drying machine on low heat.

Finally, apply a stain remover specifically made for poplin fabric on the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then rinse the garment with cold water and dry it in the sun or in a drying machine on low heat. Follow all of these steps, and you should find that your poplin items are restored back to their original form.
