To start, you want to create a solution of equal parts white vinegar and cold water. Depending on the size of the stain, this ratio may be adjusted. Once the mixture is complete, dip a clean cloth into the solution and blot the stain until it is fully saturated.

Let vinegar and water mixture sit for 10 minutes to give it time to break down the stain. Do not leave it for longer as it could damage the fabric. After the 10 minutes is up, dab the area with warm water to remove the solution.

If some of the stain is still visible, you'll need to tackle it with some more heavy-duty stain remover. One option is to create a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to the stain. Let the paste dry overnight and then brush off any residue the next day.

Once you've removed the stain, it's important to wash the fabric with a mild laundry detergent. Don't forget to use a color-safe bleach or fabric softener if necessary. Finally, hang the fabric outside or in a well-ventilated room to dry.

By following these steps, you'll have your peau de soie looking as good as new in no time. Good luck!
