Steps for Cleaning Sweat Stains from Mattresses
- Lift the mattress and check the underside of the mattress for any wet areas.
- Spread dry cloths over the wet spots.
- Sprinkle baking soda over the affected area and leave to sit for about an hour.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the baking soda.
- Mix half a cup of hydrogen peroxide with a tablespoon of dish soap in a spray bottle.
- Spray the affected area with the solution and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- Blot the area with a damp cloth to help absorb the moisture.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in the spray bottle and spray the area.
- Use a dry cloth to blot the area again to help absorb remaining moisture.
- Leaving windows open will help the mattress dry faster.
