  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Water
  • Soft cloth
  • Oxygen-based bleach
  • Clothesline or drying rack

Steps to Cleaning Perspiration Stains from Macramé

  1. Soak the macramé in a solution of equal parts distilled white vinegar and water for approximately 15 minutes.
  2. Mix one tablespoon of oxygen-based bleach with one cup of cold water.
  3. Dab the mixture onto stained area of macramé with a soft cloth.
  4. Allow the mixture to sit on stain for 15 minutes.
  5. Rinse off the mixture with cold water and allow macramé to air dry.
  6. If necessary, repeat steps 1 through 5 until the stain is gone.
