What You Will Need

  • Dish soap (or gentle laundry detergent)
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Toothbrush
  • Soft towel

Step 1: Pre-treat the Stain with Dish Soap or Laundry Detergent

Begin by applying a few drops of dish soap or a gentle laundry detergent directly to the stained area. Gently massage the soap into the stain before submerging the garment in cold water. Allow lingerie to soak for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Create a Baking Soda Paste

Mix four tablespoons of baking soda with one cup of warm water. Use a clean toothbrush to apply the paste to the stained area. Leave it to sit until the paste dries and use another toothbrush to gently brush away the residue. Rinse off with cold water.

Step 3: Try White Vinegar

Wash the lingerie in cold water with white vinegar added to the wash cycle. The vinegar will help break down the stains, making them easier to remove. After washing, hang the lingerie and allow it to air dry.

Step 4: Use Hydrogen Peroxide

If the stain persists, try using hydrogen peroxide. Apply the hydrogen peroxide directly to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then, use a soft cloth to dab the stained area until the stain starts to come off. Rinse with cold water and air dry.
