Leather is a durable and resilient material, but it requires special care to look its best. To keep your leather looking spotless, you’ll want to tackle perspiration stains as soon as they appear. Here’s how to clean perspiration stains from leather:
First, use a soft cloth to gently blot up any excess moisture. This will help prevent the stain from becoming more deeply embedded in the leather. Be sure to use a light touch and blot in a circular motion. Don’t rub or scrub, as this may damage leather.
Make a mild detergent solution by combining equal parts water and mild laundry detergent. Put the solution in a spray bottle and shake it up to make sure everything is mixed together.
Spray perspiration stain lightly with the detergent solution. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes before proceeding to next step.
Take a soft cloth and gently wipe down the stained area. Use a soft, circular motion and avoid scrubbing. When you’re satisfied with the results, use a dry cloth to buff the area.
Finally, let the area dry completely before wearing or using the leather item. You may also want to apply a leather-safe protectant to the area once it’s dry to keep the leather looking its best.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
