Perspiration stains can ruin the look of your pristine lawn. Although it’s unavoidable that sweat will be absorbed in grass, there are ways to quickly get rid of dark spots and restore your grass. The following steps will help you remove these stains and make your lawn look new again.
The first thing you should do is soak the stained area with a garden hose in order to loosen up any dirt or debris that’s in the grass.
Next, you’ll need to mix a solution of one-quarter cup of white vinegar for every one gallon of water. Use this solution to spray the stained area, making sure that it is completely saturated.
Then, use a scrub brush to gently scrub the stain. This will help to lift stain from the grass. If the stain is still visible, repeat the process.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse area with water to remove any residue. You can then dry the area with paper towels or a clean cloth.
There are several things you can do to help prevent perspiration stains from appearing in your lawn in the future. Firstly, try to wear shoes when you are in your lawn so that your sweat doesn’t soak into the grass. If that isn’t possible, try to minimize your contact with the grass.
If you have kids who play in the lawn often, make sure they are aware of where they are playing and try to steer them away from areas where perspiration could cause stains.
Finally, you can add mulch around your lawn to help protect grass from absorbing too much perspiration.
With a few simple steps, you can easily remove perspiration stains from your lawn and keep them from appearing in future. Try our tips out and you’ll have nice looking grass all summer long!
