Cleaning Jewelry with Mild Detergent

Start by soaking your jewelry in mildly sudsy water for five minutes. Then use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the jewelry. Rinse the jewelry with clean water afterwards and let it dry completely.

Using Rubbing Alcohol or Ammonia

If the mild detergent approach isn't enough, you can also try using a few drops of rubbing alcohol. Simply let jewelry sit for a few minutes in the rubbing alcohol and then scrub with a soft bristled brush before rinsing off and drying.

Alternatively, you can also try using a few drops of ammonia on your jewelry. Use the same technique outlined above and let ammonia sit for a few minutes before using a soft bristled brush to scrub away the perspiration stain.

Baking Soda and Vinegar

For especially tough perspiration stains, try using baking soda and vinegar. Mix equal parts of baking soda and white vinegar together to create a paste. Use an old toothbrush or soft bristled brush to apply the paste onto the jewelry and let sit for 15 minutes. Finally, rinse off the paste with water and dry with a soft cloth.
