Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain

Begin by pre-treating the stain. Start by using a few drops of liquid laundry detergent mixed with cold water and dab it onto the stain with a white cloth. If the stain is older and more stubborn, mix together one part baking soda to two parts water and dab it onto the stain. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Step 2: Spot Wash the Fabric

Next, use a combination of white vinegar and laundry detergent to spot wash the fabric. For best results, use 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of laundry detergent mixed with 2 quarts of cold water and stir together. Dip a white cloth into solution and dab it onto the stain, working up a lather before blotting with another white cloth and repeating until the stain is gone.

Step 3: Rinse and Air Dry

Thoroughly rinse the spot with cold water and then allow area to air dry or use a hair dryer on lowest setting. Once the area is dry, check to see if any of the stain remains and repeat steps 1 and 2 if necessary.

Step 4: Launder as Usual

Finally, when the stain is completely removed, launder the Jacquard fabric item in cold water as you normally would with similar items.
