Before you begin, pre-treat the stain with some detergent. Make sure to use one that is formulated for delicate fabrics. Apply directly to stain and lightly rub it with a white washcloth. This will help break down residue of sweat and oils. You can also dip the fabric in a bowl of soapy water for a few minutes. Afterward, you can put the hoodie in washing machine on a gentle cycle using cold water.
After the wash cycle, it’s important to make sure all the sweat and oils are completely removed from the hoodie. To do this, dry the garment at a low heat setting. This will ensure that all the residues are lifted from the fabric, leaving your hoodie looking brand new again.
If you’re still having trouble removing sweat stains, you can use a store-bought stain remover. Just make sure to check the label on the product to make sure it’s safe for delicate fabrics. Apply the stain remover to the affected area and scrub gently with a white washcloth. Afterward, launder hoodie as usual in cold water.
Finally, it's a good idea to air dry your hoodie to help preserve its shape and color. Hang your hoodie up and let it air dry. This will help to prevent any shrinkage or fading that could occur when drying in the machine.
