Step 1: Prep the Garment

Before getting started, check the care instructions on the garment. Don't use any cleaning process without first reading the tags symbols and instructions. If the Fred Perry piece is dry clean only, save it for the professionals.

Step 2: Pretreat the Stain

If the label permits, apply some stain remover or prewash spray directly onto the affected area. Work the solution into the stain with your fingers or a soft-bristled brush. Then, let it sit for 10 minutes to work its magic.

Step 3: Wash on Cold with Detergent

Put your Fred Perry garment in a sink filled with cold water and a small amount of detergent. Avoid using hot water unless the garment is white—the heat might set the stain.

Step 4: Rinse and Repeat

Once you’re sure the stain has been lifted, rinse the garment thoroughly with cold water. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2 and 3. Then, inspect the clothing for any residual stain.

Step 5: Dry and Enjoy

Leave the garment to air dry or use a cool dryer cycle. Finally, enjoy your freshly cleaned and stain-free Fred Perry items!
