The first step in removing an embedded perspiration stain is to pre-treat it with a stain remover. Spray the stain remover onto affected area and let it sit for 15 minutes before you move on to next step.
Once you've pre-treated the stain, it's time to wash the garment. If you're dealing with an especially stubborn stain, mix equal parts of laundry detergent and white vinegar before adding it to the washing machine. For extra cleaning power, you can also add a bit of baking soda or hydrogen peroxide.
After washing the garment, it's important to dab the stain with a clean cloth. This will help to lift any remaining residue from the fabric, resulting in a cleaner and brighter look.
Finally, it's important to let the garment air dry. Avoid placing it into the dryer as this could set in the stain and make it more difficult to remove. Hang the garment outside or in a well-ventilated area until it's completely dry.
