Start by soaking stained garment in warm water with a tablespoon of liquid detergent or an enzyme pre-treatment product. Let it soak for about 15 minutes before dumping clothing in the washing machine.
Vinegar works really well at removing any odour caused by perspiration stains and yellowing. Mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water to create a solution. Then soak the garment in the mixture for 15 minutes before throwing it in washing machine. You can also spray the vinegar directly onto the stain areas before running a normal cycle in the washing machine.
Put together baking soda and water until it forms a paste-like consistency. Apply the paste to the stain areas, let it sit for several hours before washing it off. If the stain persists, you can repeat this process several times. Once the stains have been removed, run a normal cycle in the washing machine to get rid of any baking soda paste residue.
If you’re dealing with a stubborn stain, you can try pre-treating the area with a laundry product specifically designed to remove perspiration and perspiration-related stains. Allow the stain to settle into the pre-treated area for at least 5 minutes before washing clothing with warm water. Finally, air-dry the garment to prevent shrinking or fading of the fabric.
No matter what type of fabric your Forever 21 item is made from, these methods should help you easily remove any unsightly perspiration stains. After all, no one likes the idea of having to wear stained clothes—so make sure you follow the steps above and keep your wardrobe looking as good as new!
