What You Need

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Gentle detergent
  • Soft cloths or sponges
  • White vinegar

Instructions

  1. First, use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with rubbing alcohol to gently dab at the stained area. Do not scrub, as this may damage the fabric fibers.
  2. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  3. If any stain remains, mix a gentle detergent with lukewarm water and blot at the stain once more.
  4. As you rinse, use a solution of equal parts lukewarm water and white vinegar to neutralize any remaining detergent residue.
  5. Allow your cotton voile to air dry completely before wearing or storing.

Tips

  • Always pretest any cleaning product on an inconspicuous spot of fabric before using it on a perspiration stain.
  • Always treat stains as soon as possible, since fresh stains are much easier to remove than dried ones.
