- Start by dabbing the stained area with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Rubbing the stain will cause it to spread, so be careful not to rub too hard. Rinse the area with cold water.
- Apply a laundry pre-treatment spray or liquid detergent onto the stain. Work the solution into the fabric with your fingers.
- Wash the garment in a washing machine on the warmest temperature setting that is safe for the fabric. If necessary, add a color-safe bleach to the wash.
- Once the cycle has finished, check the stain. If the stain remains, repeat steps 1–3.
