- Detergent
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Cloth
Removing Fresh Perspiration Stains from Cotton Canvas
- Mix a tablespoon of detergent with a tablespoon of white vinegar in a small bowl of warm water.
- Soak the stained area in mixture for 5 minutes.
- Remove the garment from the bowl and rinse with cold water.
- Gently scrub affected area with a cloth.
- Rinse again with cold water and let air dry.
Removing Old or Set-In Perspiration Stains from Cotton Canvas
- Sprinkle baking soda over the stained area.
- Add a few drops of water to wet the baking soda.
- Massage the stained area gently with your fingers, working baking soda into the fabric.
- Let the baking soda sit for 30 minutes.
- Gently rub the area with a cloth soaked in warm soapy water to remove baking soda.
- Rinse with cold water and let air dry.
