Removal Instructions:

  • Create a mixture of warm water and detergent.
  • Apply the mixture directly onto the perspiration stain.
  • Allow the solution to rest on the stain for 5-10 minutes.
  • Rinse the material.
  • If the stain persists, repeat steps 1 through 4.

Cleaning Tips:

  • Use an enzyme-based stain remover for more stubborn sweat stains.
  • For extra cleaning power, necessary for bright or bold colors, add 1/4 cup of white vinegar to mixture.
  • Treat the stained area with a spot treatment as soon as possible instead of laundering it immediately; this will help avoid the stain from setting in.

Additional Tips:

  • Always check the manufacturer’s care label before laundering or treating a garment to ensure it is safe to do so.
  • Be sure to follow the garment manufacturer’s recommended cleaning instructions and avoid using excess heat–this could set the stain in place, making it harder to remove.
  • When possible, hang clothing outside to air dry; this allows the sun’s ultraviolet rays to work their magic on any lingering perspiration stains.
