Things You'll Need

  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Bucket
  • Sponge or washcloth

Instructions

  1. Start by mixing equal parts laundry detergent and white vinegar in a bucket. Fill bucket with enough warm water to cover the garment.
  2. Submerge the article of clothing into the solution and let it soak for 30 minutes.
  3. Once the garment has soaked, check for any remaining stains and use a sponge or washcloth to gently rub stains.
  4. Rinse garment with cold water and hang it up to dry.
  5. If necessary, repeat this process until the stain is completely gone.

Tips

  • If regular laundry detergent isn’t working, try using oxygen bleach instead.
  • Be sure to read care label on your garment to make sure it won’t be damaged by using any of these methods.
  • Never put chinos in the dryer. The heat of dryer will cause the stain to set and become harder to remove.
