Start by blotting stain as soon as possible. Use a dry cloth to absorb as much sweat as possible. Don’t scrub or rub the material as this can cause the stain to spread.
Mix a solution of two tablespoons of dish detergent and one quart of water. Soak the stained area for 30 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
Rinse the stained area with cold water. You can even use a toothbrush dipped in the detergent mixture to help remove the remainder of the stain.
If the stain still remains, spray area with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of ammonia. After spraying the solution, let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing again.
To finish the job, wash the chiffon with cool water and mild detergent. Once it's been laundered, hang the garment outside to air dry. When the clothing is completely dry, the sweat stain should be gone.
