- Create a cleaning solution using ¼ teaspoon of mild laundry detergent (or a gentle, specialised soap designed for delicate fabrics such as Chantilly lace) and 1 cup of cold water. Do not use heavy-duty laundry detergents as they are too harsh for delicate fabrics.
- Using a soft cloth that has been dampened with cleaning solution, gently dab the stained area until it is slightly dampened.
- Lay the Chantilly lace flat on a clean towel.
- Mix together 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 cups of cold water. Using another soft cloth dampened with this mixture, dab stained area until it is slightly dampened.
