Before you do any kind of cleaning, you should take a few minutes to pre-treat the sweat stains. To do this, you'll need cold water and either lemon juice or white vinegar. Start by soaking a cotton ball or cloth in the liquid and then holding it against stain for a few minutes. This will help to loosen up the particles of sweat and make them easier to remove.
If you're machine washing the business suit, you'll need to select a gentle cycle and use a mild detergent. You may also want to add some white vinegar to wash cycle. Once the cycle is finished, hang suit up to dry. You should never put it in the dryer as this could set the sweat stain.
If you're hand washing the suit, use warm water and a mild detergent or shampoo. Once you've mixed the two together, dunk the suit into the mixture and let it soak for a few minutes. Then use a soft cloth or brush to gently scrub the stain. Finally, rinse the garment with cold water and hang it up to dry.
In addition to the methods listed above, you may want to also try using a stain removal product specifically designed to tackle sweat stains. These products can be found at most major supermarkets and drug stores. Follow the instructions provided to get the best results.
