Whether you've been dancing all day or simply running around town, your ballet flats can start to look worn and dingy from perspiration stains. While these stains may seem like they don't want to leave, it's surprisingly easy to get your shoes back to their original state with a few simple steps.

Step 1: Gather Up Your Materials

Before you start cleaning, gather up some basic materials that you'll need. You'll need a small bowl, warm water, baking soda, dish soap, and a soft cloth.

Step 2: Make a Baking Soda Paste

Put one tablespoon of baking soda in the bowl and add enough warm water to make a paste. Stir until it's fully blended.

Step 3: Apply the Paste to the Stain

Dab the paste onto the perspiration stain and use your finger to work it into the fabric. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse and Scrub Away the Paste

Rinse the paste away with warm water and use a soft cloth to scrub away any remaining residue. Add a drop of mild detergent if needed.

Step 5: Air Dry

Finally, let your ballet flats air dry and admire your sparkling clean shoes!
