Step 1: Gather your Supplies

  • Old toothbrush
  • White vinegar
  • Damp cloth
  • Baking soda
  • Paper towels

Step 2: Prepare the shoe

The first step to begin cleaning perspiration stains from your ASICS sneakers is to prepare the shoe. Start by removing laces and any other removable parts, such as insoles. Then, use a damp cloth to wipe down the surface of shoe, focusing mainly on area where the stain exists.

Step 3: White Vinegar Solution

Next, create a solution using white vinegar and warm water and fill it in a bowl. Dip the old toothbrush into the solution and gently scrub the sweat stains. Make sure to do this vigorously but carefully, as you don’t want to damage the fabric of the shoe. Repeat this step until stain has been removed.

Step 4: Baking Soda Solution

If the stain still remains after the vinegar solution, then mix some baking soda and warm water in a bowl to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. After that, use old toothbrush to scrub the paste off the shoe.

Step 5: Dry the Shoe

After the stain has been removed, use paper towels to dry the shoe. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crevices to get rid of excess moisture.

Step 6: Wear and Enjoy!

You’re all done! Put your laces back on and enjoy your freshly cleaned ASICS sneakers.
