Step 1: Air Fabric Out

Before starting cleaning with any liquid solutions, it's important to air out the alpaca fabric. This will help to avoid setting stain. Hang fabric outside in a sunny spot and leave it there until it has completely dried.

Step 2: Treat the Stain with a Dry Cleaning Solution

Once the fabric is completely dry, you can move onto treating the perspiration stains. For this, you will need a store-bought dry cleaning solution. Follow the instructions on the label to apply it to the stained area. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Pre-Treat the Stain with a Laundry Detergent

After letting the dry cleaning solution sit, it's time to pre-treat the stain with laundry detergent. Apply a teaspoon of laundry detergent directly to stain and gently rub it in. Repeat this process a few more times to ensure the stain is fully saturated.

Step 4: Wash the Fabric

Once the stain has been pre-treated, you can wash the fabric. Use a mild detergent and cold water for this step. Allow the fabric to soak for around 10 minutes before washing in a slow spin cycle.

Step 5: Let the Fabric Air Dry

Finally, hang the fabric out in a sunny spot to air dry. Once dry, the perspiration stain should be gone and your alpaca fabric will look as good as new.
