1. Pretreat the Stain

The first step is to pretreat the stain with a stain remover. Make sure to use a product that is designed specifically for synthetic fabrics. If you do not have a laundry stain remover readily available, you can use a mild liquid detergent mixed with water instead.

2. Soak the Fabric

After pretreating the stain, soak the fabric in cold water for at least 30 minutes. It will help to loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.

3. Wash in Cold Water

Once the fabric has been soaked, you can wash it in the washing machine as normal. Make sure to use cold water and the gentle cycle. Don’t forget to add a mild detergent.

4. Air Dry

After the garment has been washed, hang it up to air dry. Do not put it in the dryer until you are sure that the stain is completely gone.

5. Repeat if Necessary

If you find that the stain is still present after washing and air drying, repeat process. You may need to pretreat stain multiple times or soak the fabric longer in order to get rid of tough, set-in sweat stains.
