What You Will Need:
- Dishwashing detergent
- A white vinegar and water solution (equal parts of each)
- Borax powder
- A clean cloth or sponge
- Laundry detergent
Cleaning Pencil Marks From Wool Step by Step
- Start by applying a few drops of dishwashing detergent on the stained area. Then, use your fingers or a soft brush to create a lather.
- Gently rub the area with a clean cloth, working your way around the entire stain.
- Rinse the area with cold water and blot dry with a clean cloth. Take care not to rub the fabric any further.
- If the stain has not yet been removed, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl and add a teaspoon of Borax powder. Stir to combine.
- Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab the stained area. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the fabric with cold water, then apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly onto the stain. Work it in with a soft brush.
- Rinse the fabric with cold water and lay it out flat to air dry.
