No one likes when clothes get stained, especially when it is an article of clothing that you wear a lot. Even more, no one likes encountering pencil marks on their clothes. Luckily, there is an effective solution for removing pencil marks from wedges.

Step 1: Prepare the Area

The first step to removing pencil marks is to make sure that area of the stain is clean. You should use a soft cloth and a bit of warm water to spongedown the marked section, and make sure that any dirt or dust particles are removed.

Step 2: Apply a Solution to the Stain

Once the area is clean, the next step is to prepare solution that you will be using to get rid of the pencil mark. The ingredients you will need are: 2 tablespoons of mild dishwashing liquid, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 1/4 cup of white vinegar, and one cup of warm water. Mix all of these ingredients together until you have created a paste. With a soft cloth, spread the paste onto the pencil mark on the wedge, making sure that you do not rub too hard in order to prevent further damage to fabric.

Step 3 : Let the Paste Sit

Let the paste sit for about 10 minutes, and then dab off the excess paste with a wet cloth. Don’t scrub or rub the paste into fabric.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

Once paste is off, rinse the fabric with warm water. Do not put the item in the dryer yet, as this could set stain. Instead, hang the item outside to dry. Once the item is dry, check to make sure that the pencil mark has been removed. If not, repeat steps 2-4 until the pencil mark is removed.
